Free Speech

Wow, are we still in America the land of the brave and free?  I never thought I would see one of the great conservative thinkers and orators bullied into an apology. When Rush Limbaugh apologized this week for simply exercising free speech I was very sad.  The only response that would have been appropriate for him in response to the wave of attack on him by the America hating, freedom hating, organized leftist movement would have been , “I stand by my words,  if you don’t like it, tough, that’s your problem”. He badly lost the battle showed them he could be beaten.

He bowed to the “politically correct” tyranny over free speech when at this writing, 8 advertisers reportedly pulled their  ads from his radio show. These freedom hating, spineless companies are:

Sleep Number Bed

AOL

Quicken Loans

ProFlowers

Sleep Train Mattress

Legal Zoom

Carbonite

Citrix

May these sorry, freedom hating companies, wither and die. I wish bankruptcy and failure upon all of them. I will never give any business to any of these companies with obviously pathetic decision makers. The typical excuse today by companies is they don’t want to get involved in politics but by pulling business based on free speech they are taking sides and being political activists.

How many companies, including these companies, have ever pulled advertising from the left leaning media that have said much worse?  There are numerous examples of such speech on the left with no such response.  Of course Bill Maher comes to mind calling Sarah Palin “c*nt” among many other things. I bring this up to show the completely one sided part of this that reflects what this really is…..an attack on free speech and freedom.  I personally think it is all protected by the 1^st amendment.  And yes these companies have a right to make the choice of where they advertise however this one sided bullshit attack is a tyrannical bullying technique orchestrated by a progressive movement. It clearly demonstrates what they are really about. They are hostile to our Constitution, America, and the very right of free speech protected by the 1^st Amendment.

People that love this country and the very freedom it represents must stand up regardless of the cost. When they tried to silence Glenn Beck while at Fox News, he refused to take it and risked it all to start his own web based television network.  Today he clearly states that if advertisers don’t like what he has to say they can leave and go advertise somewhere else. Freedom must be stood up for regardless of the cost financial or otherwise.

Quite frankly the only way you will ever get me to shut up and not exercise my free speech rights granted to me by God and protected by the 1^st Amendment of The U.S. Constitution is to kill me. So you progressive assholes can kiss my ass!

As to Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown coed that Rush apologized to, I think Rush was right. She is a slut. But I would say she is also a loser, puppet, idiot, moron, freedom hating leftist.  I could go on but she doesn’t even really warrant my attention.  Don’t like what I have to say?  Tough, that’s your problem.

Hank Williams Jr. exercises his first amendment rights and simply shares his opinion which clearly resembles the truth more than most of what the media presents, and he is hammered by the press and even loses his ESPN / NFL deal. This is tyranny right in your face. This is evil!

Any liberal can lie, slander others, and say whatever they want, and they are praised for speaking out. How many times have we heard conservatives, libertarians, and republicans completely demonized?  How many times did the liberal press call President Bush names, even names as vile as Hitler? However, if anyone speaks any contrary view they are endlessly attacked and damaged. How is this free speech?

Certainly you will always be viewed by what you say and do in a free society. You will always have to live with the outcomes of your actions including what you say. However, this is very different. This is aconcerted effort by those of one point of view to damage and harass everyone with contrary views in order to scare those with contrary views into silence.The only difference from this type of attack and those that would occur in countries run under tyrannical governments is that here in the U.S. they still cannot get away with throwing you in prison or killing you for speaking out.

Don’t be fooled, there are many here in the U.S. that are progressives, communists, Marxist, and socialist that would love to be able to throw people like Hank in jail or execute him for his views. That comes next. Tyranny always leads to that. The only thing stopping that here is our freedom, protected by the Constitution and the rule of law. Don’t be fooled it’s under attack. It’s being destroyed and this very type of attack on any opposing view is just an incremental step. This should be headed as a dangerous warning.

Standing by and watching evil without doing anything is itself evil. We must follow Hank’s example and continue to speak up with the truth no matter the price. Our Founding Fathers risked all for Freedom. Freedom isn’t free. It is worth fighting for!
